Well we had a lovely weekend, as Karl Elisha (Pete's mate from BSc, MSC and PhD) arrived on Friday evening with his girlfriend Joyce and then Simon arrived on the Saturday. Pete hadn't seen Karl for well over 2 years, and it has actually been about 2 years since we've seen Simon as well. It was just like old times.
Despite appalling weather on Saturday (rained all day) we headed into town for some lunch at a pub and a wander around old Coventry haunts. In the evening Dad was a star and babysat Vincent (he didn't wake once!) and we headed off The Gallery restaurant in Earlsdon. It was a lovely meal, and I even treated myself to a big glass of red wine.
Sunday morning I was up early to go to mass with Vincent and Dad. this time we decided to sit at the front as I think Vincent likes to see all that is going on. Note to self though, best not to bring along anything that rolls... his bottle of rose water kept being launched into the aisle, usually during pivotal and awkward moments like the communion line or when the priests and servers were leaving the altar after mass!!!
After a cooked breakfast (by Pete)Karl and Joyce headed off back to Farnborough, but Simon stayed Sunday night too and so we watched Hot Fuzz. Very silly!
Nothing exciting on Monday as I worked, Pete took Vincent to the park and I went food shopping (which i hate btw!)
