Sunshine and exchanges

This week, the weather has been absolutely gorgeous so there have been many trips to the park and afternoons in the garden. It has also been Vincent's first week back at nursery after a 4 week break (3 weeks holiday and 1 week Easter shutdown) so we had a few tears on Tuesday morning but none by Wednesday morning!

I had my usual Bumps and Babies group on Monday morning with Verity while Vincent popped into work with Pete. Then we had a meeting with our solicitor to wrap up some final queries and sign the exchange papers.

On Wednesday I spent three hours outside the cafe in the park with my friend Rachel and her baby Alfie (who is 2 and half months older than Verity)....hard life!!
I also went out on Thursday night for a pub quiz at a local pub with Gennie and some ladies from the NCT crowd... and we came second hurrah.

Thursday afternoon was fun (not) as it was spent in A&E. Pete was handing me some slats from a double bed down from the loft when they slipped and fell onto my hand...owwwww. It was so painful and I stuck ice on it but it seemed to be starting to swell and was just getting worse so we decided it would be best for me to get off to A&E to have it checked out. Thinking that it would probably take hours and hours we decided that it would be best if Vincent didnt go so I headed off with Verity in a taxi. Luckily I was only in there for an hour and a half and having had an x ray it turned out it wasnt broken or factured, just badly bruised. Phew! Overnight it completely went down and this morning I woke up with only a bit of tenderness there. Very lucky indeed.

Apart from that it has been a frustrating toing and froing trying to get the exchange of contracts on the new house done, not made very easy by the fact that our buyers have an Internet conveyancer so getting hold of the right person is difficult. Anyway... after some bated breath and butterfly tummies we finally exchanged as of 440pm this afternoon... hurray! Exciting and very scary too!!!!!

So we are set for the moving date of next Friday May 1st.....
