Paris

On the 22 April I headed off to Paris on the Eurostar (2 and a half hours from Kings Cross-brilliant) for a conference I was presenting at the next day. Pete drove down to Wickford and the next day joined me in Paris for the weekend. Janet and Pat kindly agreed to look after Vincent and Verity. Pete and I had a lovely time, Gill and Clyde being there too, but it was very strange being away from the children for 2 whole nights. We ate loads of lovely food, drank lots of wine and the weather was so brilliant we just wandered about for ages taking in the sights. Vincent was a bit off colour while staying with Nanny and bit sad when we got back, but still talks about GrandPat’s lovely Thomas trains! Both Vs had a haircut from Nanny Sassoon too..... Nursery kept sending Verity n=home with slides and top knots... subtle hints that her hair was getting in her face, so we were very grateful to Nanny.
