We had a long weekend staying at Linda and Dave's Isle of Wight pad in Ryde... primarily because it was the weekend that Thomas the Tank Engine took over the Isle of Wight steam railway... Vincent was in seventh heaven... getting to see the REAL Thomas. It was a lovely day, well organised and lots of fun for those who like TTTE! Dad came along too and stayed in a pub near to the flat.
Still.... not everyone who goes to TTTE day is necessarily that nice...for example... Linda and I were aghast to see a man coming up the ramp at the station with his children with a t-shirt on with a union jack and picture of Enoch Powell on the front and the text from the Rivers of Blood speech in red on the back!!! Nice!!
