As I said, the villa was lovely, and we had the master bedroom which was lovely except the air conditioning didn't work the whole time we were there so it was very hot. The villa had a fabulous pool and jacuzzi, and because the weather was so sunny and hot the whole time we were there, besides a couple of trips to the supermarket, we didn't leave the villa. Vincent absolutely loved the pool and his swimming developed so much over the week it was amazing.
I think if we'd been there another week he may have ended up swimming without armbands. By the end, he just jumped in from the steps or from the side all by himself, was perfectly happy floating about and could kick his legs to go from person to person. He seemed to have absolutely no fear, and on the last night just jumped in the pool fully dressed... Grandad was in the pool at the time and fished him out but he didn't seem to be phased by it at all! The week was extremely relaxing... Lot's of lovely food, lots of wine (well not much for me) and beer, lots of fun, and one night we each had to bring along 3 pieces of music that meant something got us and we explained why we had chosen it and played the song. It was a very good evening, with a very varied selection. Dad is going to make a CD of all the songs.
Vincent has developed a very emphatic 'No'... well actually it is 'No, no, no, no, no', like the character from The Vicar of Dibley... it is most amusing!
On the last night, while the rest of the crowd made their way home, we had decided to stay a night in a hotel in Malaga old town, right by the cathedral. It was lovely and made a very good end to the holiday. It had a pool right at the top so more swimming for Vincent.
Then it was off to the airport home on Sunday.... except of course.... we got completely lost again and only made our flight with 10 minutes to spare... what a complete nightmare. We seriously thought we were going to miss it... the air was blue in the car I can tell you, lucky that Vincent was fast asleep.
Anyway, it is nice to be home although we have had absolutely pants weather since we've been back.... rain rain rain.
