Italian Wedding

We finally had a trip away abroad!! Our friends Rachel and Fred (Ernesto and Alfie's Mum and Dad) had decided to get married in Malcesine on Lake Garda and we were invited hurrah. We left on Sunday 22nd and came back on Friday 27th, so only 6 days but it was fabulous. Gorgeous weather, swimming pool, swimming in the lake and lots of drinking!!

The wedding was fabulous: they got married in Malcesine castle, then we had ice cream (managing somehow to avoid Vincent getting blueberry icecream all over him!), then we all walked through the cobbled streets to the harbour for a boat trip, then to a wonderful restaurant. Before dessert, all the children stripped off and went swimming in the lake.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 

The last day we went down to the lake and had a picnic and the children splashed about for hours even though it was freezing in the water!!
