1. Yes it is a big garden
2. Yes it is a lot of work
3. Yes we are mad
4. No we didnt put this in (how could we have done???!!! It's clearly a very old mature garden!!!)
Then some less than complimentary comments: 'it will look good when youve got on top of it!', or 'it must have looked lovely when it was first done', or the best of all... 'is the house in the same condition as the garden' (not said in a positive way!!!!!!
Pete's Mum and Pat came up to stay for the night.
It was also the Earlsdon Festival that day with loads of stuff going on at the theatre and Earlsdon high street including an open mic at which I sang with Steve on the acoustic guitar. Not so bad although a bit strange hearing myself on a mic!
We also had a visit from David Jenkins on his way back from North Wales: Vincent loved playing trains with him and he did us a massive favour by baby sitting the night he arrived so that we could go to the charity gig at the Theatre (the alternative was yet another night with them asleep in the buggy!!!: thanks David!)
