End of the play

Well it is Sunday and it is all over, the set is struck, the costumes are put away and the dressing rooms are all tidy and clean. I have also been able to rub off all my fake tattoos (one on my arm, one on my lower back and one on my tummy... I got quite attached to them! It has been a fabulous week-I don't think I have ever enjoyed being in a play so much, nor been so sad that it is over. In the end we had 73% audiences which was slightly above our target and people seemed to really enjoy it. We had some funny happenings, like when the telephone didn't go off when I was inside the wardrobe (and the phone is my cue to come out)! Eventually Keith said 'Is that a phone I hear... are you going to stay in there all night Catherine?' and I was able to come out!!

Pete's Mum and Pat came to see it on Thursday night and said they really enjoyed it, and it was great to be able to spend some time with them. Vincent seemed to love their company (Pat has taught him to say 'Yeahhhh!') and when Pete and I went out for a bit on Friday morning, he stayed with them as good as gold, and apparently just laid himself down on a cushion on the floor and went to sleep for 30 minutes. When we came back he was cuddled up with his Nanny on the sofa. We had lunch in Zafiris and then they all had a go on Pete's new Wii Fit game which was a laugh: Janet is particularly good at the hula hooping!

Also, momentous occasion... on May 16th 2008 at 1525, Vincent took his first steps by himself... only three and never to be repeated it seems but still he did actually do it!!Nice that Janet and Pat were here to see them.

Paul and Ruth came to see the play on the last night so Pete baby sat both Vincent and James. He did brilliantly given that Vincent was a monkey and wouldn't go to sleep for an hour and James woke up twice, and the smoke alarm went off!

Anyway, we're knackered after that week... isnt this picture great... two peas in a pod....
