Matt’s Panto
The last weekend in January, we were booked to see my friend from Brasenose Matt Scott’s pantomime in London: he was playing the Dame. Janet and Pat kindly agreed to babysit for the night (first time we have left Verity so a bit nervous). Problematically Verity developed some kind of sickness bug the night before: well in herself but was sick a few times poor little girl. Anyway, Janet said it would be okay so we decided to go. We had a fantastic evening, the pantomime was really funny and we met up with Simon Thomas (who played the organ at our wedding) and his wife as well as matt so January really has been an Oxford reunion! Pete told me I shouldn’t call Janet all the time and not to worry, but I wish I had because when Janet woke up in the morning….sickness and diarrhoea… oh dear. Pat had to hold the fort with the 2 of them. Thanks to them both, we had our first night out for a very long time, but I did feel bad that Verity had made Janet ill.
