January was also filled with a lot of snow, so bad that we had to cancel a trip down to see Rachel Huskinson and her hubby and reschedule. It’s beautiful at first but does get tiresome after a while!
On the 11th George and James came back to finish off all the heating and following James’ repair effort on our radiator, we now finally have proper heat in our bedroom, hooray!
We also had to cancel another weekend-Bettina and Jon were supposed to be visiting but Pete, me and the children all had terrible coughs, colds and fevers… yuck… not a nice weekend: you can cope with either of you being ill and perhaps the children, but all of you together: what a nightmare. Vincent’s was particularly bad and was combined with stuff (sorry) pouring out of his ear… straight to the doctors and turns out he had a perforated ear drum poor little boy. Didn’t know you could get that just from build up of coldy stuff… anyway, he was straight on antibiotics and by the middle of the week it had cleared up.
